This position will be responsible for running all elements of day-to-day activity in the KSA & Kuwait operations to ensure goals and objectives are achieved in a cost effective and controlled manner, while ensuring that operational KPIs are delivered in line with company expectations.
Specific duties:
· Accountable for all aspects of Operations & Logistics ensuring the highest quality of service for clients
· Managing the operations teams at various branches, responsible for company’s fleet of equipment and ensuring that it is maintained in first class condition,
· Ensuring the completion of service, repairs, and overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budget; responsible for reducing equipment downtime and maximizing internal utilization ensuring that the sales teams are kept updated with timetables and fleet availability.
· Leading, motivating, and supporting the operations & logistics team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
· Working with the management team to plan for growth of the fleet and ensuring that appropriate types and quality of equipment is purchased.
· Providing technical support/justification for CAPEX and costing.
· Managing overtime and cross hiring equipment, when required, in a cost-effective manner.
· Driving continuous improvement in operations reviewing performance, activity plans, ongoing challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
· Recommending and implementing process improvements for managing and executing day to day activity to maximize efficiency and effectiveness; creating efficient processes based on industry best practices, using Group processes as the foundation
· Maintaining the highest level of Quality, Health and Safety awareness and management amongst the team.
Skills and Attributes Requirements:
· Minimum 15 years extensive operations experience in the GCC, leading a large team in the equipment rental industry, with 5 years leading the Operations function.
· Technical expertise with mechanical and electrical equipment; familiarity with Logistics and Transport functions.
· Ability to think strategically, with strong management and budgeting skills.
· Strong leadership and analytical skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Degree in Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain Management
· Conversant with MS Office and ERP systems.
