Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Manager Housekeeping in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. The Supervisor needs to assign the team’s daily duties and inspect work for adherence to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
Prerequisites:
Education : Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management
Experience : 5+ Years working in a Healthcare/Hotel industry
Job Responsibilities:
· Well aware of all Housekeeping standard operating procedures.
· Supervise all housekeeping staff. Making generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria.
· Accepting responsibility for the direction, control, or planning of all Housekeeping tasks/functions, cleaning, etc. Including disciplinary action if/when required.
· Do daily quality assurance tours of the building appropriately identifies problems and arranges for correction. Keep records of all problems, the date of follow up and the date of correction, informing the Manager Superior of any problem.
· Ensures a smooth and accurate two-way communication between Housekeeping and Front Office.
· Ensures that all staff is well aware of all fire and safety procedures.
· Maintain timely, accurate written charts, assessments, documents, and records of periodically cleaned areas, such as floor stripping, curtain changing, curtain and cabinet top cleaning. Assure that these are done in a timely manner.
· Provide housekeeping coverage to all areas in the event of an absence.
.Monitors Housekeeping personnel to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service
· Meet attendance standards as established and provide proper notice of absence.
